A GENUINE WW2 GERMAN 1939 INVASION BLITZKRIEG BALKAN CROSS VEHICLE ID FLAG. Heavy cotton early high quality flag constructed in three sections with the cross laid onto the circle and the circle in turn laid onto the flag. Still has large clips to each corner and has maker markings with 1939 date.. No damage or fade and only a few general dirt spots. This type of flag used in the early 1939/1940 invasions of the Netherlands, France and Belgium etc..

Lovely heavy quality single sided flag which was clipped to vehicles including AFV's & Tanks etc. The purpose of this was ariel recognition so the vehicle would not be attacked by aircraft of its own side.
