His original diploma from an Italian aviation school where he graduated in 1940. Inside are marked his flying hours and other details. These were issued to foreign volunteers for easier communication with their allies. The dictionary comes in a metal case with a helmeted soldier on the front. Original Luftwaffe pilot instruction book describing the outlines of various planes for easier recognition in the air, topographic details, weapons instructions, on-board instruments instructions and more. Marked with the name of the pilot Peter Trifonoff.
Small silk parachute used for opening the main parachute. Complete markings including a 1943 date stamp. A light weight first aid kit made by the HARTMANN company and issued to Luftwaffe pilots. This collection came to us from Peter Trifonoffs family. He survived the war and came back home as a POW to find his family being chased by the communist regime.
With the help of friends they managed to escape to Italy where they escaped the communist prosecution and certain death penalty for his participation in the war on the side of the Germans. This is an extremely rare collection that would proudly take its place in any WW2 museum. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
