WW2 German Luftwaffe officer's flying helmet. Bomber pilot

Good example of officers flying helmet. It has wear as you would expect but the double chin straps are complete and work. All other loops and fastenings are in good order.

The leather is still as should be fine soft brown leather with signs of age. The lambskin inside is intact and fair condition with wear around the edges.

This is most likely a bomber officers flying helmet as can be seen in the book German Soldiers of World War Two by Jean de Lagarde. A great collection of original uniforms and kit with excellent information and photos. Please note no googles included just leather flying helmet. An incredible piece of history that are getting harder to find. I will include with sale original Luftwaffe map dated 1941 of North Africa.
