The heavy, stiff leather case used by the Wehrmacht to protect the EM 34 rangefinder in service use during ww2. Designed to be used at the front the case is made from fine quality stiff hide leather with a smooth yellow external finish. A remarkable survivor and in good condition for its age, though clearly has seen the intended service with marks on the inside. Closing belts intact and field screwdriver in internal pouch.
Original carrying sling on swivels intact and present. Some coarse stitching holding additional leather reinforcing panels on the inside has deteriorated but could be replaced; doesn't affect function.
