This really is a remarkable and rare listing: WW2 German Luftwaffe Intelligence Dossier - Mappe 3 Nordost-England (York, Hull, Middlesbrough) - 1942 - COMPLETE This is an authentic and complete 1942 Luftwaffe cartographic dossier, part of the Militärgeographische Einzelangaben über England series (Nur für den Dienstgebrauch - for official use only). The series comprised 11 invasion/target folders ("Mappen"), each covering a region of England and Wales. These were not tourist maps - they were compiled by the German Army General Staff's cartographic section to provide the Luftwaffe with detailed intelligence on key British industrial and military targets. Contents of Mappe 3 - Nordost-England (all present): 1 × regional map Militärgeographische Objektkarte von England, 1:250,000 Nr.

3 - Nordost England 4 × Middlesbrough town plan sheets (GB 3, BB 6b / 6c / 6d / 6e) 1 × York town plan (Zusammendruck) 1 × Kingston upon Hull town plan (Zusammendruck) 1 × Heft Objektbilder (completed 30 April 1942) with photographic targets (factories, docks, railways, power stations) Original wartime dossier folder cover. As a bonus I will also include: Stadtdurchfahrtspläne England (ohne London), 2nd improved edition, dated 1 Aug 1941 With fold-out index map and through-route town plans (separate annex to Mappe A; often linked with "Operation Sea Lion"). Maps complete with original folds, no losses. Objektbilder booklet intact, staples with expected wartime oxidation.

Folder sound with some toning/edge wear but no major tears. Overall, a remarkably well-preserved dossier compared to most surviving examples. Historical note: Often loosely described as "Operation Sea Lion invasion maps, " the actual 1940 invasion plans focused on the south coast.

This dossier (Mappe 3 - Nordost England) was compiled later, in 1941-42, as Luftwaffe bombing intelligence for targets in York, Hull, and Middlesbrough. Complete examples are very seldom encountered.
