"German Panzer IV Tanker's Ring / Ring (1940)". Panzer IV Tanker's Ring / Ring (1940). A unique example of soldier's art (trench art) - a commemorative ring associated with the history of the German armored forces (Panzerwaffe) during the early stages of World War II.
A massive, roughly crafted ring made of white metal (probably a brass alloy, typical of Wehrmacht commemorative rings). The shield is diamond-shaped, with characteristic rough notches on the sides, imitating battle marks or texture. On the front (shield): The inscription "GEIST" (German for "Spirit") is clearly visible. In the context of a tank crew, this symbolizes fighting spirit, team unity, and fortitude (crew spirit). On the inside of the shank: Two lines of text are engraved.
Pz IV - abbreviation for Panzerkampfwagen IV (medium tank T-IV), the main battle tank of the early war. 1940 - year of production or commemorative date (period of campaigns in France/Poland). Condition: The item shows signs of use, a deep patina, and mechanical damage consistent with its age and origin. The engraving is in excellent condition.
The ring is deformed, giving it an authentic combat appearance. An excellent, characteristic exhibit for a militaria collection on the topic of the Panzerwaffe or the life of Wehrmacht soldiers.
