German WWII Tropical DAK First Pattern Tunic M40. It's probably a former POW's Tunic as the Breast eagle has been carefully removed (no offensive emblems are covered up or cropped) along with the rank shoulder straps (there is evidence that they were once sewn on inside & out).
It has all the markings stamped on the right inside closure flap though a little faint now after all these year's. This is a brilliant example of the rare 1st Pattern Tunic with sculptured pockets & rear pleats. It has all the original buttons except the shoulders together with light weight fiber buttons on the cuffs & bandage pouch inside. The cufftitle has been machine sewn & matches the patterns found of original titles & also the blue O/R collar tabs made for all general service with no colour for branch of service.
This is a fine example of a very rare & hard to find Tunic that every collector of tropical uniforms should have. The item "German WWII Tropical DAK M40 First Pattern Tunic & breaches.
