AVEC LOUVRIER SOLDAT POUR LE SOCIALISM. The poster is a caricature of a Jewish businessman dressed in a suit made from an American Flag and a top hat with a Union flag running from a German Soldier and a German worker both who are holding weapons with which to strike the man. Loosely translate the words are : Unite with the worker and soldier for socialism.

This is a typical propaganda message of the time; the inference being that the Allied nations were involved in a conspiracy to save the Jewish people. This original poster was saved by a veteran of both World Wars. There is a postmark stamped on it at the bottom right. There is no artist attribution and the poster was printed in Belgium by O. Overall condition is good though the paper is aging. The fold marks are original to the way vintage posters were stored.

Resulting is a tiny hole where the folds meet in the middle, some minor crease and edge wear. A good pressing and a nice frame will restore this nicely. It measures at 24 wide x 32 high /61 cm x 81 cm.
