Please see the many photographs for details. I assume this tunic was originally converted for an officer or NCO for walking out dress. The collar has been replaced in the early dark green style, as was often done, and there is a slit for a dagger hanger added behind the pocket. There are loops for shoulder straps but there are also openings where sew-in boards were once added. The left chest pocket has loops for several awards.
This Feldbluse is a huge size for the period. There are not many original tunics out there that can fit a modern body or mannequin. The overall condition is very good and shows few signs of wear (probably only used for walking out). However, there are several very small holes that have been repaired by a previous owner. The right sleeve has also had some damage repaired with two patches - the work is of very good quality and was probably period done by a tailor (see pictures). This tunic is very flexible in its current state - it can easily pass as a standard early-war example. But many of the adjustments mean it could be converted back to an officer version, including sew-in boards. Most people would never want to damage an original example to do this but here the work was already done during the war. It's simply waiting for the new owner to decide how to use it.
