Original'Where Eagles Dare' 1968 Film Prop German SS Tunic + Script

An original film prop Allgemeine SS Tunic and 2 pages of script from the 1968 movie'Where Eagles Dare' Very nice quality tunic in excellent condition for its age with its original insignia as shown. Included are 2 original pages of script from the movie along with what appears to be a scanned photograph of Richard Burton with an unknown woman (now identified as Ingrid Pitt) These of both came with the tunic when it was acquired originally.

Whilst there is no written'provenance' as such, these pieces came together some years ago from a source long connected with the film and prop industry. The Tunic again, is of excellent quality and its construction matches that of the few seen in the film, notably the lack of a large sleeve cuff, and presence of a relatively slim sleeve, as opposed to both original wartime tunics, and historical reproductions which all feature a wider sleeve and large oversize cuff. Whilst it's known that the principal actors in the production had their own uniforms tailored by London tailors'Bermans & Nathan's', the majority of other garments were sourced from elsewhere including costume suppliers in Germany.
