Original WW-II German DAF Member's Peaked Cap c. 1938

With distinctive oval gold-yellow DAF Cogwheel cap badge. And high quality oak-leaf pattern cap band. The body of the cap is made from navy-blue serge. And has the superb & distinctive saddle-back shape.

So beloved of Wehrmacht officers. The inside lining is in light-blue cotton with light tan pigskin sweatband. And again bears the distinctive DAF Cogwheel device. In silver in the crown of the cap. Sadly the leather'NCO's leather strap is missing.

But the material covered buttons are still in situ and with a genuine. III Reich replacement would restore the cap. Over all the cap is in good, issued condition though. A section of the liner has come adrift from the cap at the. Inner front, but still sits very well in place without any repairs.
