An original World War Two German'Liebstandarte' Adolf Hitler 1st SS Panzer Division Cuff title. This Cuff title has been roughly cut from an officers gabardine field grey service tunic. The SS wore cuff titles on the left sleeve. The silver wire thread identifies the wearer as an officer; enlisted men and NCOs cuff titles were embroidered or woven using a silver grey thread.

1st SS'Liebstandarte' Adolf Hitler Panzer Division were originally formed as Hitlers bodyguard in 1933. During the war the Division achieved notoriety for atrocities committed as much as their participation in the invasions of Poland (1939), France (1940), Yugoslavia, Greece and Russia (1941).

Thereafter, the Division fought around Kharkov in 1942, Caen after D-day and the Ardennes offensive in December 1944. The item is mounted in a wooden black frame with historical narrative.
