Shell 100% original but can't guarantee paint as this is outside our area of knowledge. Bought on a flea market in Berlin only last month.

No markings can be seen on the shell but could be under the paint. These M42's are notorious for light strike markings. Again we guarantee the shell is 100% pre May 1945 but we do not guarantee the paint but it has a chance.
