Original WW2 Militaria German Navy Kriegsmarine Pea Coat with Insignia
A really very nice 100% original Kriegsmarine pea coat. The coat is in great condition and complete with all original high-quality buttons all of which are dated 1939 and 1940 to the rear. There is an L shaped repair to the right arm and another L shaped repair under the KM eagle, the eagle looks to be properly machine stitched in place so whether it got damaged and replaced during the war or was torn off at the end of the war and replaced later we dont know? The left sleeve has an array of original insignia all of which is excellent. The collar tabs are plain blue, not sure what this denotes? The material is good with just minor wear and marks in places.
The inside of the jacket has a blanket type lining all of which is in nice order, the sleeves are lined with a softer silky cotton type material, the left sleeve has very faint markings to it which show up well under the flash of the camera, we are no experts on German clothing markings but someone out there will know the meaning of them, the top looks to be a date of 1940? A really lovely original item in great condition. Measurements are shoulder to shoulder 18 inches, shoulder to cuff 25 ½ inches, armpit to armpit 19 inches, total length collar to hem 27 inches.
