Original WWII German M40 Helmet

This is a very solid, combat worn helmet that was from the same estate as the M42 I've listed. It has traces of green overpaint and winter whitewash and obviously saw it's share of field time. Liner is tight and original to the helmet, leather is good with some minor flaking along the edges, with original tie string. It has some surface rust here and there from storage, as shown. Not played with after the war, this is estate fresh and not some refurbished shell - just like it was in the war.

IRT a question on the helmet. Hi, I can't read the stamp in the rear apron of the helmet; it is obscured by paint. If I had to guess from what I can see, I'd say Q62 - but as I stated in the description, I can't read it clearly. It is the original liner that was issued in this helmet, though.
