The leather liner has a finger pulled loose and was hung in a garage for 60 years by a piece of rawhide that was attached to the liner band, and it pulled the leather out of several of the front rivets, but it could be pulled back into position and reaffixed. Liner is named to the soldier. When the individual hung the helmet on the string, they must have removed the liner. It is missing two rivets. A good original helmet that needs a few rivets and it's ready for your display.
