Send it back if you don't like it, but you won't - this is one of the neatest German tunics I've seen. This is a direct veteran acquisition, brought back from Italy by a U. It is a completely rebuilt M40 tunic that was repaired and extensively modified by a unit tailor, but brought back just like you see it.
The nice quality wool is multiple shades, assembled together neatly for a larger, longer torso man - this came with SS and foreign volunteer items, and I believe it was intended for volunteer formation based on the lack of eagle (but was issued with boards), and longer size, which is a trait I've seen in the foreign legion type uniforms. Even the collar has been repaired and modified, and the liner is a patchwork of salvaged scraps - really an end-of-the-war tunic pressed back into service. It is maybe a 40-42 long or extra long.
