RARE ORIGINAL WW2 CAP FOR GERMAN PoW CAMP MILAG NORD INMATE, most likely from the British Merchant Navy. The cap has a handmade / inscribed white metal badge bearing Milag Nord 90274. Milag Nord was the shorthand form of Marine-Internierten-Lager Nord or Marinelager Nord, the camp complex used mainly for captured Merchant Navy and some naval personnel at Westertimke in Germany. The cap appears consistent with one that may have been worn by a merchant navy sailor - a field capade of a heavy black wool.

In generally nice condition except for some mothing on one of the top edges. Retains a very good shape. Size is approx 53-54 cm.
