RARE WWII German CAMO Helmet, Camoflauge Painted Finish, GI Bringback Souvenir

Rare CAMO Painted WWII German Steel Helmet, Brought Home by GI as a Battlefield Souvenir. VERY RARE painted camoflauge WWII German steel helmet. Standard steel helmet, with camo painting. Numbers 1170 stamped in the back.

Has a great camo look with this paint. It has a rough, "sandy" finish, so don't know if that was under the camo coat. Don't know if this was done by the Germans during the war or if the vet painted it after he got back home.

Either way it has a nice look and looks great in a collection or on a shelf. Veteran worked items are always nice to have as well.

It is a Luftwaffe helmet, both based on the color of the inside (which appears original). Also has the Luftwaffe eagle on the side, which has also been painted and is a very cool part of the design. Helmet is in very good.

No damage or flaking to the paint. Inside paint is in excellent condition and appears original. Great for a variety of display and collection objectives!!
