Waffen SS Original WW2 German Planetree #5 Camo Zeltbahn SS Zeltplane

Textbook Waffen SS Planetree camo #5 Zeltbahn. Square removed where there was most likely a name tag on the left hand corner of the Fall/orange side. Good amount of oxidation on the zinc grommets.

Great solid colors with more fading on the green side, A few small wear holes ONLY on the corners and some loose stitching around the border. There are 3 different camo patterns: The main one is a roller-machine "oakleaf" print with hand screenprinted #5 negative/positive space dot pattern acting as shadow-effect. Hand-printed shadow pattern gives the planetree zelt visual interest no two are the same. Another pattern at the slit is the all hand-printed leaf pattern, also incorporating a fully roller-machine printed late-war Oak B pattern dating this zelt at late'43 early'44.

There is a small chip of brick-red oil camo paint such as used in quantity by the Panzers at that time to conceal their machines as much as possible from air attack, other colors were green and tan. Original short length of tie-down rope. This zeltplane is an honest combat worn example and in fine condition.

A couple of the steel 3 hole buttons are missing so i will include some original extras. I also found a small oval (quarter-sized) maker mark that I can't read.
