World War 2 WWII German Original M38, CKL68 Fallschirmjager Paratrooper Helmet

I will accept a return but READ DETAILS BELOW! It includes a reproduction liner and chin strap. It is painted but I have no idea if the paint is old or new.

No idea how old netting is. There are stamps on this helmet (shown in 3rd photo) but I cannot read due to being painted over. I posted sizing based on my late husband's notes.

He listed this in his inventory as being an original but I don't know what to look for to verify. If you'd like to see more photos or item specifics, please ask. I would also greatly appreciate it if any experts out there can tell me more about this.
