Bronze initialed metal frame depicting the letters BDM to obverse and having a pin-back reverse plate stamped: RZM, M1/15 &' B' with and internal red & white ribbon showing through the front; the'B' designating a replaced serial number clasp; approx. 23 x 24mm; 100% Original pre-1945. BACKGROUND: Instituted in April 1934 and awarded to girls between the ages of 14 & 21 years old. The criteria was to have successfully pasted tests in athletics, political ideology, nursing & first aid and home making. These clasps were worn over the left breast of the girls BDM Uniform.
