WW2 German M42 Helmet Relic Courland Pocket Uncleaned Paint Remains #147
Original WW2 German M42 steel helmet relic, found in the Courland Pocket area. The helmet is heavily covered with rust, soil and mineral deposits. It has not been cleaned, restored or treated, and has been left in the same condition as found. This is a real dug battlefield relic with strong age, corrosion and natural surface buildup. No visible holes can be seen. The shell still keeps its M42 shape well, although the lower edge has corrosion wear, uneven areas and battlefield damage, as shown in the photos. There are many visible remains of original paint under the rust and deposits, especially on the dome and side areas. This makes it an interesting project piece for WW2 relic collectors who want to clean and preserve the helmet themselves. There may also be possible decal area remains, but this is not guaranteed because the helmet has not been cleaned. Please study all photos carefully.
The exact condition, rust, soil deposits, paint remains, edge wear and overall relic state are shown in the pictures. No political meaning or symbolism intended. This is an inert battlefield relic and has no functional use. FOR CONDITION AND DETAILS PLEASE CHECK PHOTOS. DON`T HESITATE TO ASK US QUESTIONS, WE WILL BE HAPPY TO ANSWER THEM.
