This listing is for a very nice German camouflage field cap, constructed of a multi-piece weather-hardened cotton duck cloth base. A fully reversible example, the exterior is finished in a summer pattern oak leaf camouflage consisting of a primarily green mottle with irregular brown and dark green splotches, while the reverse is finished in a fall pattern consisting of a primarily brown mottle with irregular light and dark grey splotches. A protruding visor completes the exterior features, and has a card stock core fully lined in two-toned camouflage cloth. Unmarked, the cap is on the smaller side measures approximately 6" (w) x 7" (l) x 3.5 (h) at the peak. Minor issues consistent with age and field wear, and includes a couple holes to the base material, with additional softening of the visor core consistent with moisture exposure.
This untouched and combat-worn example remains in a very fine condition.
