WW2 German original M40 steel helmet. Size 62

The original German M40 steel helmet from the Second World War, found on the battlefields. Size 62 The helmet was found underground and restored after that.

Unfortunately, corrosion has dissolved the factory stamps and they were unreadable. The helmet is painted in RAL7018 color using aluminum oxide.

The liner is new, originally it was size 64, but then it was redesigned for size 62 helmet. The chinstrap buckle is original, found on the battlefields. The photos were taken under street lighting and at home, because depending on the lighting, the color of the helmet changes, on the street it looks more gray, and at home it is dark green.
