WW2 German Pommersche Motorenwerke Werkzeugmarke & Inventar Tags Junkers PoMo

Original WWII German factory identification tags from the Pommersche Motorenwerke / Motorenbau GmbH (PoMo) at Stettin/Arnimswalde-license builder of Junkers aircraft engines. Set includes one diamond "Werkzeugmarke" tool-check tag and two thin rectangular Inventar / Jnv. Asset plates that were attached to machines or tooling in the plant. PoMo, a licensed producer of Junkers Jumo engines used in Ju 88, He 111, etc.

Period: 1935-45 German home-front / armaments industry. Size: rectangular plates about 1 3/8 in at the longest dimension; diamond tag roughly 1 1/8 in across est.

(1) Diamond "Werkzeugmarke" tool-check tag, hanging hole, back serial 4850. (2) Thin rectangular Inventar / Jnv. Asset plates, used on machines or fixtures.

The two plates fit precisely together and show matching corner loss. Overall solid as-found industrial/aluminum pieces with oxidation, pitting and edge wear. One rectangular plate is unreadable from corrosion where it stuck to the other plate. One rectangular plate is partially readable - Pommersche Motorenwerke (Motorenbau) G.

Diamond Werkzeugmarke is clear; serial "4850" on reverse is sharp. Historical note: PoMo (founded 1935 at Stettin/Arnimswalde) was part of the German aircraft-engine production network, manufacturing Junkers engines under license.

Werkzeugmarke tags were issued to workers to check tools in and out; Inventar/Jnv. Plates marked fixed assets and tooling. See our other WWII items for more German factory and aviation pieces.

Theme: Militaria / German Home Front / Aviation Industry. Unit/Organization: Pommersche Motorenwerke (Motorenbau) G.

Type: Factory Werkzeugmarke tool-check tag & Inventar asset plates (3-piece lot). Condition: Used - oxidation, pitting, corner loss on rectangles; numbers and maker partially readable (see photos). Dimensions: Rectangles 1 3/8" longest; diamond 1 1/8" across approx.
