Ww2 Original German Helmet M42

Here we have a nice original M42 German helmet. The shell , the paint and the liner are all original. The drawstring is a replacement and the chinstrap is a copy. The liner pins are straight and the liner is nice and tight. As you can see from the photos much of the original paint is intact.

The markings in the rear skirt are hard to read but I think the maker is ET and as the helmet actually fits me it must be a size 66 shell. The helmet has a high quality aged marking on one side (elite) and although it looks very convincing and would undoubtedly fool a novice collector its not original so Ive priced this as a nice original non decal M42.
