WW2 Original German Military Fabric Motor or Bicycle Saddlebags

Original WW2 German Military Motor or Bicycle Saddlebags (Kraftrad Packtaschen) in a grey green fabric, with leather edging and straps. Made of a heavy canvas type material, I suspect this pattern was designed for tropical use, where the more usual leather saddlebags would suffer from the heat. The bags are in good used condition. The leather straps are still supple, and all are present, apart from one small one, on the reverse (see photographs). The missing strap is not stitched on, but rather poked through slits, as per its partner, which is still present, on the rear.

The cloth is slightly faded on the external surfaces, and has rub marks on the central section, where items could be strapped. The bags have a hard leather back pane on each side, to help them retain their shape. RBNr means Reichbetriebsnummer (National Business Number).

Although these were instituted long before, they were not required to identify manufacturers until 1943. This example indicates manufacture by industry (The first 0) in Vienna 1001 to 1025 were all Vienna (Wien) codes.
