WW2 WWII Original German military signed set tags Wehrmacht author doctor medic
Original WW2 German Wehrmacht medical 3-piece set. Two WW2 wound tags and a 1935 book on WWI battlefield medicine with a dedication and signature by the author on the inside cover. Wound cards were attached to injured soldiers and used as a means to confirm injury details. Book cover is lightly rubbed/soiled/browned, and its pages are slightly browned due to age. Corner issues and light damage to a few page edges; otherwise, in good condition. Cards come with metal top grommets and original string ties, light oxidation around d the grommets. Off-white card with green and yellow stripes to the edges; original medical tag from an army medic's with "Kranke" (wounded) heading; pre-printed for all relevant information about the soldier to be completed. A yellow and black variant of the tag was probably used by the air defense for wounded civilians, as there is no army information to be filled in, such as rank, unit, etc. Check out our other WW2 documents.
