WWII 1937 GERMAN NSFK PARATROOPER GLIDER PILOT ALUMINUM PRE M38 CRASH HELMET EXTREMELY RARE. This helmet is the predecessor of the infamous M38 paratrooper helmet. NSFK prepared most Luftwaffe pilots and paratroopers. This is known as type I helmet and was later replaced by M38 paratrooper helmet and the leather helmets for the pilots. Heavily padded to prevent head injury, mesh vent holes, all original leather liner and straps. The paint on the outside is stripped but on the inside the original military dark green paint remains. Very few of these helmets have survived till today because they were made and used only for a year and most of them were scrapped for the aluminum to be used by the Luftwaffe for aircraft. Much sought after piece that would proudly take its place in any private WWII collection. Scarce and highly collectable item.
