The leather on the flap is pliable and the holster body itself is nice and solid. All stitching is in very good shape. It appears that many of these holsters were modified to fit later versions of the Reichsrevolver so finding one still set up for the long barrel 1879 model is very difficult. This is a great holster to display in a collection of pre WW1 and WW1 era German field gear.
