WW2 German wooden handle for? 24 RARE

WW2 German wooden handle for? From what I understand, this is a very rare lot in this condition. In the fifth photo, you can clearly see small dents, but this does not affect functionality. I don't know exactly the purpose of this pen, but I think it's from a training grenade. The tree is very well preserved.
